The invention provides an acrylate emulsion pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) composition with yellowing resistance. The composition can be applied to high-grade labels, protection films or adhesive tapes and comprises 1) 0.1 to 2% of a self-made special emulsifier for a pressure-sensitive adhesive, wherein the emulsifier is of a special structure; 2) 80 to 95% of soft monomer (e.g., butyl acrylate (BA), ethylhexyl acrylate (EHA) or a mixture of BA and EHA); 3) 0 to 5% of hard monomer (e.g., methyl methacrylate (MMA), acrylonitrile (AN) or a mixture of MMA and AN); and 4) 0 to 5% of functional monomer (e.g., acrylic acid (AA), methacrylic acid (MAA), hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA), hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) or a mixture of the above-mentioned functional monomers). The components 1), 2), 3) and 4) are prepared through common emulsion polymerization; and the synthesized polymer has excellent yellowing resistance, especially high-temperature yellowing resistance.
